Conor

Hi, I'm Conor. I'm a black belt in kickboxing and have been involved in the sport since 2006. After competing and medaling in international kickboxing and K1 opens (British, European, and World), my mental health took a nosedive. I was desperate for change and to rediscover the love for martial arts that I had lost while on the competitive circuit. Then, after a major injury, I turned to BJJ in 2019 and fell in love with martial arts all over again. However, I still felt disillusioned by the often toxic and egocentric cultures set up in competitive combat gyms. That's when I met Adam. We've been mates ever since. We both have a huge passion for martial arts and hope that with this project, we can change the narrative for mainstream martial arts to make things more inclusive and fun for all. As two white cis men, we acknowledge that we still have a lot to learn, but we are committed to learning along the way!

I started coaching in 2016, and now my primary passion is to share martial arts, creating a safe place for authenticity and fun opportunities for others to grow and connect. See you on the mats!

Adam

Hey, I'm Adam. I started BJJ back in 2012 with the primary goal of keeping fit and healthy. This goal quickly changed into a passion for the sport. After 5 years, I left to go travelling and training Jiu Jitsu around the world. After jumping around alot, I started to notice patterns within alot of jiu-jitsu clubs and the community that I couldn't relate to and didn't enjoy. I realised I was searching for a space to train that was free of any toxicity, any sort of hierarchical structure and a place where people felt comfortable. Which is when I Met Conor, we quickly became good friends due to our shared love for the sport and drive to make the sport more available and inclusive. Now we've brought this passion to Pickle Factory Fighters and is looking to learn, teach and grow within the community.
